He just has some fairly severe inflammation around his hips, so he'll be sore for a while but no lasting damage. Phew! His back's fine, thank goodness. He was advised that horse riding is really good to build up fitness and help his back after his operation... but I'm not sure unscheduled dismounts were what they had in mind!

Mum is not very happy with either of us though... she can't decide which of us is stupider, me for telling him to jump or him for listening to me!

I think he'll probably be back on board as soon as he's stopped OUCHing every time he moves!

I swear he's being a complete baby about it - I don't care how bruised he is, nothing warrants that amount of yelping just getting off the sofa...

I don't think any of my family will want to come to the yard with me again now. I took my cousin up there for the day a while back and she got trodden on and ended up in a cast and on crutches, and now Dad comes and also ends up in casualty... I think everyone will be staying well away!

Alright for me though - my most serious horse-related injury to date was a broken little toe. *touch wood!*
