DAF lorry wing mirror backs. help needed please x

bit of a long shot but i have a 7.5 tonne lorry built on a 57 plate DAF LF chassis. i just took off the backs of the passenger wing mirrors - it has a standard and a wide view? my husband says we will have to go back to oakley for replacements but im sure they are standard. i have looked on ebay but so many and they all look the same. i cant be the only person that ever had to pull into a hedge on a narrow road lol! would be very grateful if anyone has experience of replacing these. x

Just contact your local DAF dealer, Thats all Oakley would do then put on their absurd premium!

if you give them reg and /or chassis number (on plate in passenger door) they will match the right part. Be prepared to buy the whole mirror though!

thank you so much! just in case it happens to anyone else, i googled the local DAF dealership, drove out there - it was a mahoosive business but they kindly found me the mirror backs and only charged £19! i then fitted them MYSELF! great sense of achievement.

tomorrow ring Oakley for a quote, make sure you are sitting down then, you will be really pleased at how much you saved!

hahaha! unfortunately i need a new back bumper too. that will defo be a sitting down job lol x

you can buy off the shelf from Oakley about £400. If someone else fits it the hourly rate charge will be much less! Have first hand experience of this due to polish truck behind me on ferry forgetting to apply his hand brake!
