Just about to do an oil/filter change in my Roadrunner 7.5t, does anyone know how much oil I need? Phone DAF and they hadn't a clue!

Just spoke to one of our mechanics and he reckons about 8 ltrs hope that helps(i work for a commercial recovery company)

I think it'll be about 20 litres as a guesstimate - we are going to do my Daf 45 this week and i can't imagine it will be much different!

oh dear, rather a difference - tell you what I'll get 20 and if its only 8 I'll post the rest down!!! If I remember rightly i had it done 3 years ago and it cost £98 at a garage - don;t think it would have been that for 8!

Mmm... my car takes 8 litres & my truck engine is much bigger. I'll get 20 and save the excess!

I have to admit to having zero faith in truck mechanics any more - its fine if its electronic but in our part of the world there are very few experienced mechanical mechanics if that makes sense!! thats why its a tractor mechanic that now does mine - can fix things rather than just fit new parts - much cheaper too!! oops sorry mini rant!!
