This is the one, and only, occasion, where a bit termed a "Dr Bristol" is permitted. The Myler MB10 mouthpiece is, in fact, a french link - ie. the angle of the link is set so that it lies flat on the tongue. A true Dr Bristol has the link angled so that the edge rests on the tongue. That's what sloppy terminology does for you - raise confusion.
There is no rule on the colour of numnahs/saddlecloths, only regarding the size of any logo so coloured piping around the edge is fine. White is traditional though and a few eyebrows may be raised if yours is cyclamen pink with vivid purple piping!
Crank nosebands are fine but, as with any other noseband, must not be fastened so tightly that it causes discomfort to the horse.
