So my mare has been for the past 6 weeks on this routine in her stable from 7am until noon with feed and hay and then out the rest of the time. Last night she obviously changed her mind about this as had a text from YO saying did I want her to bring dizzy in as she was hanging around the gate and pacing the fence. I said no that I would come up after work in about an hour. She said ok but that dizzy was trying to get through fence!!! I called her apologising saying I would pay for any damage and if she could bring dizzy in to stop her hurting herself my YO laughed and told me dizzy had gone back up to the top field but that when she meant through the fence she said dizzy had stuck her head in the gap on the post and rail fence and was trying to get her leg through like she was going to try and climb through it!! Seeing as she is just coming up to 16.3 and could very easily jump that fence she must of looked quite silly! YO said she quickly gave up and went back to the herd but she is now staying in for most of the day until we rotate the grazing. My horse does make me laugh sometimes! And she was settled when I got up there after work but bought her in for hay and cuddles for a while :)

My 16.3hh TB mare started doing that last year, minus trying to put her leg through... the grass was much greener on the other side :p mad to watch as I have never seen a horse of her size bend down, tilt head, put through fence rails, and not freak out!

Although the down side is the lovely bald patch she was sporting all winter in her mane!! Luckily she has only tried it once this year that I have seen
