We have a field shelter, big apple tree in the middle of the field, lots of trees around the edge of the field, where even with all this rain the ground is dry under them, so where do the ponies stand? Bums to a small hedge in the most exposed area of the field. Muppets! They were soaking wet and shivering, so got a good heap of hay each and told to go under the trees.

Yes ive never understood why ponies do that???

Was the wind making them nervy? All of the horses at our yard were as high as kites today, maybe wanted to be standing somewhere where they could see what was going on

cant believe you all had such bad weather today.here the sun is shining and there is no wind lovely though it does make a nice change went for a great hack first thing then this evening had a wee jump

It wasn't windy, they were just standing in the most exposed area for getting wet. They were really chilled out just wet and shivery. Wallys.
I don't understand why horses do that. Nice weather they are in the shelter most of the time because of the flies, but don't go in there when its raining.
