I have just got a new dressage saddle, but have to pop into my local tack shop today to pick up girth...but no idea what size I need, so my question is,
If I use a 52 inch "normal" girth what size of dressage girth do you think I will need?

Do you still have the other saddle?

I would, being a numpt, girth up the original saddle with its girth, to where it would be if it were on the horse, then figure out from that what length I would need for the dressage saddle's girth

why not put saddle on horse and use a tape measure to measure what size girth you need? saddles vairy so much especially dressage ones as the girth straps are so much longer.

I think the general rule in half the GP girths length plus 2 inches.
