Hi, im looking for some advice on putting a daisy rein on my boys pony, here's a bit of background, he's a 12hh section A, been backed and riding away by my 5 year old for about 5 months, Now i know he is still learning (pony and son), but my little boy really isn't strong enough to hold him when the pony puts his head down and tries to eat.

Do you think it would benefit both my son and pony to purchase a daisy rein?
Also does anyone else use one, and why, thanks in advance.

Yes definitely, the daisy rein only reinforces what your son's arms are trying to do but he hasn't as much strength as the pony. Once pony discovers he can't get to the grass hopefully he'll no longer bother and you can then take it off
