We had spicy, slow-cooked pork belly for dinner tonight. I thought I had cleaned up all the associated wrappings, bags, coverings, etc., but Dinks just jumped up on the sofa with suspicious smelling pork grease all over her head  I have bathed her - which means I am now drenched . . . but what remains is an anxious wait to see if she ingested anything and how it comes out the other end. Did I mention we have "oat" coloured carpets and the pork was marinated in paprika?

Sigh.

Well, if you starve your poor wee doggie, what do you expect?

:p

Seriously, hope she is ok & that your carpets stay the same colour x

Oi . . . you've met her and know what a shameless blagger she is. She's an embarrassment . . . if I didn't know better I'd swear she was part lurcher. I'll be sleeping on the sofa with the sliding glass door out to the patio open so that if she needs to "go" she can. The sad thing is she has a very sensitive tummy . . . so I predict bright orange carpets ;).

Hmmm orange & brown on oat

:D:D:D

Hope she is fine and has no ill affects.

Well, we seem to have got away with it! Unless she's left us a "present" to find later ;). She doesn't seem any the worse for wear either . . . she's currently asleep on my feet (smelling of Aussie shampoo).

My oat-coloured carpet lives to fight another day - hurrah!

P.S. Now that the GreyDonk is officially back in work (walk only for the moment) when are you boxing the BF over to mine?

Glad to hear Daisy dawg is ok!

Will have to hold off at the min about coming over as just going to start canter work at end of this week - if all ok in about 3-4 weeks then will message you missus as cannot wait to come over  (but being prudent at present!)

Totally understand - PM me when you're ready and good luck with the canter work :).

I've got a Daisy (thieving little lurcher) dog too, she is adept at whipping it and running but then she is half WHIPPET!
Now I know where the Whippet name comes from!

LOL! We had a lurcher called Tilly . . . a whippet/staffy cross . . . and if there was a world championship for food theft Tills would get a gold medal every time. Never knew a dog so good at thieving. She would jump ONTO the kitchen counters - all four feet - to snaffle whatever was going . . . butter was her drug of choce . . . and more than once she just swiped the food right out of some unsuspecting person's hand.

The other day someone suggested Dinks was part whippet due to her rather slinky back end . . . perhaps the food thievery is a better clue ;).
