dam horse flys!

whats the best to keep them away? i have tried rugs garlic net tex deet naf pink and black bottle barrier power phaser homemade stuff ditch the itch by lincoln and i can not find anything to keep the bastara** away?

ive got a lump on my thigh the size of a tennis ball where one bit me through breeches yesterday, ow it hurts. and itches too :O

i feed my boy a marmite sandwich every morning and wash Iim every couple of days with naf off midge relief, he also wears a fly rug and mask and it seems to be working

I put summer fly cream the bright yellow stuff all down his centre line and round his privates. Sudocream round his eyes and ears

the flies/midges do not like the smell of marmite so if you horse has been eating marmite sandwiches or had some in his feed then they don't like the smell and stay away, it also works with humans if you eat lots of marmite you won't get bitten!
