Making my lovely laid back mare like a whippet on speed with a bum full of dynamite

That is all.

((at least it's finally growing now though))

Love it, got dumped by one at speed after a hysterical over reaction to a pheasant by normally sensible boy before being dragged across a field by 'can hardly be bothered to trot on the lunge' who turned into an in hand rodeo horse intent on practising halt to gallop then schooled Mr I Can Do That Spanish Movement, our capriole certainly has potential!

Love that description. Ella is always like a whippet on speed though, the dynamite bit kicked in somewhat yesterday when an Ella eating groundhog (cute little brown furry rodent thingy for those that aren't sure) popped his head up as we passed by. I mean, how scary is this, really?

Mine always has turbo tendancies but she's positively gasping for a blat now -going to take her for a short and fast hack this evening. I've also been dumped at speed recently (weekend before last) when she spotted a parked horse box half a mile away and executed an emergency stop complete with snorting and flared nostrils.

Mine is usually a hyper hot head, so I'm not sure what went wrong today. The kids in the garden next to the arena started out playing volleyball along the length of the arena with a giant neon pink space hopper and followed this up with taking said pink space hopper on the trampoline with them. Bonkers black pony didn't bat an eyelid. This is a pony who has a full blown panic attack when the for sale sign down the road changed colour. I think he must be sick!

My old horse who usually comes in through 2 gates and crossing a section of big paddock without a head collar, following me like a big dog. However this morning he bucked, farted, aimed both his back feet at my head and charged in a top speed for him! Headcollar and lead rope tomorrow!

Yey i'm one of the lucky ones, as I got a horse that overnight turns into a hippo as well as being crazy, so its like riding a hippo on speed with fireworks up its bottom, lovely mix don't you think?

Our grass is only just thinking of starting to grow and I have very enthusiastic creatures......Still we get around the block quicker which means I can get 2 ridden in half the time ;0) and if I get my camera at the ready I hope to get soem great pics!

Thank God I'm not alone!

Been looking forward to spring for so long and now between suicidal joggers & cyclists and scary lawnmowers & space cadet ponies I'm already bored!

My normally bombproof tb is bl##dy loon and the grey one is leaping and squealing! I may need new pants ;-)

I didn't enjoy my start to the day at all. Took big lad who occasionally does a nice cha cha cha when excited but ambled out nicely till we got to grass. I then broke the landspeed record for about 5 full minutes before he gave up and quietly ambled home. I'm too old for this! Sitting down collecting and requesting stop didn't work. Standing up and hauling didn't work, soothing and talking to him didn't work, circling didn't work, swearing at him and threatening him with burgers didn't work. And he's been such a good boy for a whole year. :-(

This has made me feel much better about deano and I's little disagreement last night. I thought we were ambling across the school on a long rein, he thought we were going cross country at speed. Cue me nearly leaving by the side door and the air around us turning blue. Sigh.
