Okay. Is there anyone else out there fed up with rugs that slip?

I have 2 different weights of Weatherbeeta Fusion Contour stable rugs, 110g and 360g which fit brilliantly and never slip or pull.

It is not cold enough for the 110g fill rug yet so what do I put on in the meantime?

I have a Masta Coolmasta, a Masta fleece and a Masta waffle weave, all the right weight but the Coolmasta and the fleece cling too much and the waffle weave slips.

Any bright ideas on what would work?

(I need a 6'6" and a 6'9" for info.)

I bought a Weatherbeeta summer sheet this year - practical Navy blue and it fits like a treat and great for those cool summer nights, just plain cotton but quite tough and thick - washed up well despite horses best efforts! I got it a local saddler in their summer sale for £17.99 but think the normal price is about £25 so good value for money as well.

This is it (didn't buy from here - just found the rug!)

Yeah I do like the fit of the weatherbeeta but the waffle weave isn't great. Maybe it's just the material. Have an old Masta H/W stable rug which is ok fit wise. Will look for a Weatherbeeta summer sheet I think.

My horse has an Amigo summer sheet on atm and it is wicked being a thin skinned TB his chest/shoudlers rub easy but the amigo's have a silky lining and its not touched him he has had it for a while now they are slightly more expensive but well worth it!!!

Just seen the Amigo SS on Cybercheckout - would have gone for one of those rather than the weatherbeeta if I had seen it before as I prefer the front closure, the weatherbeeta does have double front straps but the front does pull back as it does not have the velcro overlap like the Amigo. (by the way they are on there reduced to the same price as the weatherbeeta as well!)

I think Cybercheckout have some Amigo ones on there for £15. I bought the new Red one but they are exactly the same apart from colour. I really like it as it has the shoulder liner in there and is cotton. My bot has been wearing his at night and apart from being covered in poo it hasn't moved at all.
