It looks just like the NS Verbindend Loose 70mm Ring Snaffle 12mm diameter I use. Fantastic bit, love it. My cob was very heavy in the hand before using this bit.
Here's a potted history for you:
The Danger bit (so called due to a weird translation of German) was made by Horse&More, which is now owned by Sprenger.
Its a lozenge snaffle that stays flexible, but as you increase pressure the mouthpeice locks offering a solid bar. This is not disimilar in action to the myler triple barrel.
Might work for some horses, although in my experience, if neddy is p*ssing off you are better off without a solid bar for them to lean on! My hano mare learned to run straight through a myler combo long shanked triple barrel. However she is a bit of a "blunt instrument" !!!!
Thansk CS, its not for braking, its to give him something abit more solid to work into, but not fixed enough to make him fixed/enough movemnt to make him fussy.....think may try a myler though....
