Has anyone used one? What sort of horse was it you used it on if you have? Have seen one used, and know someone that quite likes them, but am still undecided to how strong they are... I figure as they basically fix into a "mullen mouth" not very, but would be interested on thoughts

Thanks!!

Depends on what your horse does - I have a triple barrel myler that works on a similar principle. The only problem was that if you have a heavy leaner - one that drops the head and runs, turning into a mullen mouthpiece just makes it easier to lean and harder to stop them!

So as with all bits, it depends on the horse!

Mines got a soft mouth, she doesnt like a lot of movement and doesnt like tongue pressure particularly! Her myler french link was too narrow for her to settle in happily, so its now covered in Latex which she loves, but makes it non dressage legal...

So trying to find an alternative, and found one of these cheaply, so wandered if it was worth a go

If you found one cheap, I'd buy it as they are only going to get more expensive as the pound weakened so much against the Euro

Cannot hurt to have in your bit collection!

Fair point! Am having to completely restock my bit collection being as mare is unhelpfully a lot smaller in bit size than previous horses!!

They are brilliant! I used one on a lot of horses when I was a WP, most of ours went of the flat in them. Mine really liked it, I found that he was a lot softer through his jaw in it and didn't lean like he did in a frenchlink snaffle.
