So tomorrow myself and Dangerous Brian are off to Adult Riding Camp.

I'm nervous as we've not really got our act together this year due to shoe issues etc and some of his old bad behaviour had started to creep back in.

I have asked to put us in the lower level group as in my mind it's more important to improve our confidence over small stuff rather than jumping big things but I'm wondering if I'm just being a bit of a chicken :/

The horse has got all the ability in the world (the jockey not so much) but he's far from straightforward.

I'm hoping that if he goes well say on the XC then we might be able to pop over a few more challenging fences???

Not sure if I've done the right thing but I'm really hoping that we both enjoy it. Having a bit of a tough time of late and could do with a bit of a boost.

Wish us luck and I will report back!

Good luck and enjoy.
I always think it is better to be in a lower group wishing you were in a higher one than in a higher one wishing you had gone lower. ;)

Thanks! That's how I'm looking at it. I feel that if he finds things fairly easy then he might not be too much of a pain, something that could be helpful as the Adult camp is running alongside the Pony Club camp and there is a no bad language policy.....

Have a fab time. I think it could be a great thing for your partnership - it helped me lots last year when I did my first ever camp. Have fun.

Ah you'll have a great time, it's a really bonding experience I've found, every year that I've been with G, our partnership has grown hugely in confidence.

Have fun x
