Dangerous Dogs - how would you handle this?

My mum and her friend were out on a walk with our dog Daisy (collie) who was on a lead. They were walking along a footpath through a field. Landowner had two dogs loose (large dogs, Ridgeback and GSD type), who came over and harassed and pinned poor Daisy. Apparently had her by the throat and my mum and friend were screaming. Landowner came over and had to use a stick to get her dogs off! Daisy is ok, but obviously it’s a shock, and my mum is in bits! Woman eventually apologised but sounds like she assumed it was fine as they were on her land.
How is best to report this situation? What would you do?

Small war wound. Poor Doopy! She seems ok but I imagine she’ll be sore tomorrow.

How is she today @SpotsandBays ? How is your mum?
She’s fine, like nothing happened bless her!
Mums still very shaken to be honest. The police rang yesterday, (like a triage person?) to request more information etc.
Mum and dad also went sleuthing yesterday and have the woman’s address and have managed to get her name. An elderly lady who seems to live on her own. She was on a crutch when out with her dogs, which she used to get the dogs off of Daisy (when mum said stick I thought she meant an actual stick!). The Ridgeback had an interesting collar on, either vibrating or electric - not sure which but mum and friend said they could hear it activate. Will keep you all updated with the outcome!

My dog was completely changed after an event like this. Went from being lovely with all other dogs to now being dog reactive. I don’t blame him. I hope your lovely dog is not affected.

I’m sorry to hear that. I have a friend who’s had the same, her dog is now very dog aggressive after their incident.
I’m really hoping Daisy isn’t affected. She’s always been abit timid with new dogs that come running over
