Went to turn my girls out this morning, having to be very careful as it was slippy plus I can only wear Crocs due to a leg problem atm and am not supposed to get wet.. not easy in this weather.

Sooo... tell them both to go slowly, which they usually listen to, get outside barn and senior mare has total Welsh meltdown because there is about half an inch of snow on top of my car :eek::eek:

Much twirling about and snorting later, whilst watched in disbelief by her younger friend, she finally agreed to pass the horse eating snow and towed me all the way to the next gate. Through the mud :eek:

Flippin' horses. It's guinea pigs for me in my next life :D

My Welshie lad had a welshie meltdown last night too. I think it was the noise my trailer made on the snow that got him...cant think what else. I soak his hay at home and wheel it round in a garden trolley. But I entered his field with it as normal and he flipped his lid.
Then preceeded to gallop about bucking and snorting and would not calm down even when offered a feed bucket. Took a while to get him to calm enough to approach, never mind get him in his stable! Silly boy!
Looking forward to tonight when I will be in a rush...amazing what a bit of snow does!
