Danilon then hay

Could someone tell me how long to leave horse before feeding hay after Danilon dose please?

You dont have to wait to feed hay or hard feed after Danilon. Its only a pain killer and is usually fed IN the feed anyway. Hay will make no difference.

The only time you should leave time for feeding is after a sedation as it can cause choke.

Interesting question, I read somewhere that giving danilon and then giving hay straight after lessened the absorption of the danilon, don,t know how much truth there is in that though?

The official advice from the manufacturer is as follows

" Hay may delay the absorption of suxibuzone (danilon) and so the onset of clinical effect. It is advisable not to feed hay immediately prior to or with Danilon Equidos".
