Could anyone tell me where I can get one from please? I am thinking it might be a good idea to get one for little Flickle, who whined her b****dy head off all night AGAIN last night because she was shut in the crate

i get the DAP collars from the vet but you can get the diffusers and collars cheaper online but need to be organised for when you need it.

Now ordered

I have got her a DAP diffuser and a Kong toy as well (there werent any in the pet shop when I looked)

Lets hope they work now

My Mum uses the spray for her IWS in the car, he gets himself in a right state otherwise, so it does seem to help!

I was thinking about getting the collar for Otto when I thought he was quiet and shy, but as he has turned into a raving lunatic that is frightened of nothing, I didn't bother!

Thats what is so strange, Flick is a bouncy little soul who loves life

Obviously I am very special to her

and she misses me desperately

- I can understand that though

Today is the first day when I am not going home at lunchtime to her, as I was wondering whether that upset her more than me staying away all day? Probably will come home to a trashed house, but thought it was worth a try

I tried the DAP diffuser on my nutty rotty bitch and it didn't make the slightest bit of difference!!

Noooo dont say that! It was about £20! Well, I suppose she will like the Kong toy

I use a DAP occasionally for Jonna, I failed in the being alone training (probably because it hasn't been much problem with the dogs before her, so I didn't focus as much on it) so she's turned into a real mummy's and mummy's girl alone sort of girl. Which means she howls with regular intervals as long as I'm gone, but with the DAP her howling became/is much more discreet.

If nothing else works, try and make her brain more tired by hiding the Kong or something edible in your home, so she has to find it before she can eat/play with it.

Awww thank you Y - I am going to leave her out of the crate tonight, and accept that I will be cleaning up tomorrow morning, just because I cannot bear another night of whining

I know that is dreadful training, but (in voice of desperation....) I just cant do it all over again

You can tell I dont have kids cant you

Acolyte does she not wake you up when she needs to go. Mine sometimes can't make it all the way through the night and they will give me a nudge. Naffs me off big time 'cos it's always me and not Daddy but no messes in house is good.

We had 2 weeks of night time whining and I know just how you feel, we were exhausted and I admit wanted to give him back!. Its ok people saying you have to leave them but when you live on an estate you just cant.
On a plus note, he did settle and touching wood frantically he has only woken us up once since as he needed the loo.
