Anyone ever seen one?

There is a 5yo chestnut lad at my yard for sale and he has a dappled effect on his body but he is chestnut............ he is gorgeous but have never seen this before............. has anyone else?

Not sure about the dapples but my foal must be crossed dalmation!! He's chestnut but has quite a few black spots all over him!! Must have about 10 to 15 that I can see so far and his foal coat isn't fully through all over!! I've been told that he'll probably go darker each year making the spots less noticeable????

Yep my chetsnut has a few dapples, look more like mucky splodges

My chestnut is dappled too, some summers he has so many that he looks almost liver chestnut from a distance. They tend to show up less on his winter coat.

We also have a bay with lovely dapples, very much like the bay above.

S the Chestnut Mare has them, I noticed they really came out when I started her on the Cider Vinegar. Will have to put her back on it when she's on hard feed again (currently out at grass).

donklet and horse_crazy, yes very much like that!
Donklet, he is like a longer legged and slightly finer version of yours!

he is a very healthy smart boy! I just want my mum to give me 5K for me! as not only is he stunning but he does everything, works beautifully, jumps like a kangaroo! and has the best manners!!! Maybe my yard will hold off two years for me to graduate to get him!?

Most horses are rather finer than this lump. We got him this week and he is a little overweight!!
