I have been a happy hacker for two years now and suddenly thought, why not.. I am going to try my luck at a dressage test with the "good mannered" one of my two boys..
What is the best one to do first? Is it true the higher the test number the more difficult it is? There is a prelim 7 and 4 avail for non affiliated in my area - would this be a good idea?
please help!

Is there any give and taking of the reins?, cos as soon as I drop them, he's off! and could be v. embarassing....
(having nerves thinking about it...- what a wuss)

and also a newbie to dressage, how do you remember the test??!!!! - I can do numbers with jumping but cannot for the life of me remember a simple test!

I remember dressage tests using the position of the marker rather than the name ie enter arena, turn left at top, ride down to the bottom again, 1/2 ten m circle onto centre line and back to track at middle marker etc. I find this much easier (though couldn't have a caller obviously). I have a good short term memory though (dreadful long term though ie longer than a few days).

Got the test sheet thingys through and prelim 4 and 7 look safe, but after this there is the give and take of reins etc....aaargh.

Also why have they made the 2006 tests harder? I thought Prelim was supposed to be easy?
