Feeling mardy is this winter closing in? I'm not done with summer yet!

Sticky toffee pudding for all those feeling same!

Yep, we're past the equinox but let's hope there's still good weather to come. Sitting outside in the balmy evening with a glass of vino in the dark is like being on hols somewhere nearer the equator!

I'm kinda looking forward to autumn/winter .... Sorry! I don't ride much during the summer anymore for various reasons. Then I take a five week vacation somewhere nice at the end of every summer/start of every autumn, arrive home ready to really go for it with schooling and fittening work through the winter ready to compete in the spring. So bring on darker evenings haha! :biggrin4:

Winter Is Coming................

It sure is!!

Noticed the other night but hoped it was just cause it was cloudy seems not :(

Used to be light by 4.30... now not. :( Yup - have noticed the nights drawing in. :( Have to do late check in the dark now. :(

Bum :( on the light going...

Hurrah as autumns coming & so hunting back on agenda, along with cooler temps :)

This is what am looking forward too ^^

Also am looking forward to cosy cobs in a nice cosy shelter/stables am hoping they will go in by October, will be the first winter at the field with an actual shed and shelter and hard standing!!!

Taking the cob cubbing :)

Crispy cool sunny days :)

Just to cheer you all up: the MUD; the horizontal rain; hairy, hairy ponies; the MUD; dark at 4pm; dark at 9am; the MUD; lugging hay across the MUD; I could go on :-)

Yup, winter is definitely drawing in again! Was sat outside this morning and there was fog, dewey grass that looked a step away from frost tipped and it was 3 degrees!

I'm kind of looking forward to it too though, I don't cope with heat well but I love getting all bundled up like the michelen man and going out into the cold... it's also a good reason for me to work harder at the horses poo picking etc to keep warm ;)

I was quietly ignoring the shorter evenings, the damper air and that certain late summer/autumn scent - Thank you for making it reality! :(
