Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum. I operate a live capture service for all animals, including horses that can't otherwise be caught.
I am interested to hear accounts of people's experiences with the darting of horses. And I am carrying out a small survey to hopefully get an idea of what experiences people are having, such as:
Was the operation successful? Type of darts used? Reaction of the animal post-darting? Any dart trauma (injuries caused by the dart), drugs used, and would you use this method again.
It is my feeling that whilst there are some good operators out there, Vets as well as freelance operators, there are also some guys that think that live capture is simply a matter of firing a dart straight.
I'd be very interested to hear your stories.
regards
Mike.
