Dartmoor foal today

I don't think I've ever seen such a hairy foal! I'm guessing he was late born as most have been drifted off the moor by now. He was pretty chilled with the strange woman crouching in a ditch to take 'up the nose' photos of him!

Yes, won't be a pure Dartmoor, some kind of Dartmoor/Shetland/mongrel mix, and I doubt it'll have a great future, but today it was enjoying the sunshine - wandered off and had a good old roll!

Yes, was with it's dam, I don't think it's quite a new born but definitely a late born foal, still it's grown the coat to beat the weather!
