Dartmoor Hunt

Does anyone on here hunt with the Dartmoor Hunt? Very long odds but my old horse was registered as a foal by a Mrs Daniels from the Dartmoor Hunt many years ago and I just wondered if Mrs Daniels was still involved with the hunt, only because I wondered if she was if she remembered him (sadly he was very recently put down).

No help with your boy but just FYI there is no Dartmoor Hunt as such - it would have been the Mid Devon who hunt on Dartmoor.

Thank you for that. The registration form from Weatherbys said Dartmoor Hunt Kennels on it. May google the mid Devon hunt.

There's also a Spooners & West Dartmoor Hunt - maybe try them as well...

And there is the South Devon, who hunt part of the southern moor right up to Moretonhampstead, although the kennels aren't on the moor.

And Lamerton Hunt - which hunt the West of dartmoor and the Eggesford hunt have a small part of north dartmoor in their patch too,. Eggesford hunt kennels are no where near the moor though. and IO have no idea where the Lamerton Hunt Kennels are.

I'm pretty sure theres still a dartmoor hunt as my friend hunts with them! But they cover similar areas to spooners! I can ask my friend when I next see her about Mrs Daniels!

Hi Jan Daniels here,yes I still follow the Dartmoor Hunt on foot.Retired now. Would love to know what foal you had as the mare had several. What stallion was he by?

Hi Bird Lover here (Jan Daniels) Retired now.Still follow the Dartmoor Hunt on foot. My mare had several foals. What stallion was you horse by.Was it Newski if so I remember him a nice chestnut. Sad to here he is no longer with us.
