**Daughter and Dolly - a couple of photos and videos to share!!**

I am awaiting the horrendously enormous growth spurt as your daughter is tiny, as was my sister. She moved up to secondary school and was still looking small on a compact 12.2hh type. 18 months later and her feet were hanging down by her 14hh cob's knees!

MiniRM is looking so in control and secure on Dolly, despite the cheeky moments! If you're worried about PC stuff where it is all in one big field, don't- all the instructors are very used to ponies doing what ponies do best and being cheeky so and sos! And 72.5%?! That's amazing!

Hi!

We did have a bit of a growth spurt last year! A lot of people commented on here that daughter had grown half a foot (and I mean in height, not another limb lol ) if we have another one of those these year we might be in trouble!!!

Thanks for your lovely comments. I don't worry so much about the PC stuff - rather the riding club shows where we probably won't have the support we would at pony club. But everyone's in the same boat aren't they! I've learnt to ignore those people who think they're above having problems and take heart from those who have been in the same boat.

:)

Second the PC being used to mischevious ponies theres a good reason that ours are kept enclosed in the fenced in bits :D.

Lolo I'm still waiting for my growth spurt :p

I soooooo prefer things surrounded by fences (although Dolly did once have a habit of running at fences!!! :p).

I've had my growth spurt. Outwards. :(

:D

Thanks for the lovely update - I love them. Well done to your daughter on her marks - excellent! Please give Dolly a hug from me, she is such a character!
Well done you, as well on the van driving, I was as nervous as anything when I first got mine.

One hug for Dolly coming up!

Thanks as always!!! :D

Only tip I could give RE pulling towards you, if she does get close to you get your daughter to still only turn her the way she was meant to go i.e. not turning back on yourself like in the video. I was also told it's almost like letting the horse getting away with whatever they did wrong. Your daughter is a fab rider and you should be proud of her :)

Hi, thanks for the advice!

Her instructor has told her to go anywhere other than where the pony wants to go, and then aim to get straight back on track and carry on as if nothing had happened! I was quite impressed she did exactly as told!

I do understand what you mean though, perhaps if she'd had turned her left instead of right it would have been better.

Thank you for your lovely comments, I am very very proud of her!

:D

Just to put the frighteners on you, mum is about 5'...

At miniRM's age, but this pony is dinky compared to Dolly (12.2hh, and dainty), but has the same "Make me!" attitude! Look at Al now- she's a giant :P

You'll be fine- RC people are really nice to small people trying their (awesome) socks off. It's people like me blundering about and falling off they object to :D

WOW! That's amazing!!! What a beautiful team, and photo!!!

Dolly is only 12.2hh but apparently a "full up" 12.2hh - I've just got a tape, I might measure her soon - she seems to grow a hand when she's got one on her!!! And then there's that neck!!! :D Gotta love that attitude haven't you!! If I was a pony, I'd be Dolly!!! :D

We've had a lovely reception everywhere we've been so far, and everyone's been more than helpful. It's just a bit more daunting going some places than others. Dolly gets really fizzed up at shows at the moment, so we're planning a few none show trips out to see if we can get her to travel without getting too excited if there's not many other ponies and no "show fun"!!!

Daughter has been really lucky so far, and placed in pretty much everything she's entered, which has been lovely for her. She was recently placed 4th in a mixed adults and children's intro dressage competition out of about 20. I was really proud of her! :D
