Daughter and Dolly - update??

R- they look absolutely blooming amazing. Look at them jumping! Did you have to look away? :D

I remember your first ever post, look at how far you've come. Daughter and Dolly are definitely looking like a real partnership now. Good on you for sticking with it and making it happen :)

I am so pleased they had a good summer. The last post I read was of you all going off to your first show off the yard. Your daughter is the same age mine was when we had our first pony - happy days.

Lovely updates and I gthink they look great. I have alwyas thought Dolly looks like one of those 'cool' ponies though like we used to have when we were kids - the ones who 'taught' you to ride and handle ponies through their own special ways!! Lol. Think it makes for a much more confident rider when you have to work a bit to get the best out of the pony. Ok, so she sounds like a bit of a monster in the stable but to me that's all about the character!!! hehe

Fabbbb!! :) love seeing your pics on Facebook - as for her being a little devil at Somerford, I think its an inbuilt thing with horses as all our do it too as soon as they get there! ;)
They are looking so brilliant!

Nawwww happy thread :D Loving the photos :D

I could rival rhino's lower leg position too, so also jealous of your lass!

It's pretty bad (this is a few years old, honest)

But mostly just a bit... odd  I mean, wth is going on here???

Is it concerning I look at those xc photos and think that if it were me, I'd be quite happy with that

If we're bringing xc into it, I think I can pull rank with these:

Oh and this is my normal position :cool:

Having just looked at those photos I think I'd be better off selling my poor yearling and NOT ruining that little lad's life with my horrific jumping

Yes, I'd definitely take lessons - how DOES she do it? :D

You two make me chuckle! I pivot on my knee too. But it's ok because Martlin told me I wasn't too bad. I am hugging that close to my chest. No one else would be so kind about my lower leg over a fence!

JFTD, those XC ones are pretty classic!

My pony is a knobber too, Jess  He jumps like a stag because he knows I can't sit it!

Maybe he is confused. Perhaps he has translated ' meant to be able to carry a stag' to 'meant to be able to jump like a stag' :D:D

ETS: but he is gorgeous though and that is what really counts!

Yes you're probably right - he misread the "highland" description on wikipedia

Thanks. I feel compelled to point out that, while I am universally hopeless, he is actually quite a talented little man (imo, but I accept I am biased!) :D

And I am so sorry for hijacking such a lovely thread about Dolly and "Daughter".

I use the inverted commas because she's not my daughter, obviously.

Have I had too much whiskey?

I've never tried it. I'm not going to be snobby, I'm drinking blended stuff  Mother dearest bought it because it had a sheep on the box, bless her. It's slightly vile, but the sheep is very cool, so I drink it anyway :)
