How many kids say that they don't WANT another pony! lol!!!! Daughter says that noone can give 100% to two ponies. So Dolly has to have her 100%.

Sigh.

Gonna be me buying a pony for me, and her nicking it. We all know it!!!

Love D&D updates!! :D They are doing so well, you got dolly not long after I got YP and doesnt time fly?! :eek:

As for growing out of dolly, daughter is tiny and if I remember your not tall either so chances are she wont out grow her, at least not size wise.

Definatly get them in to mounted games and have a go at trailblazers this year (whispers and proper pc if you can).
 
Brilliant lovely amazing update.

Have they been hunting? I think they would love it, and the two Ds really must do some real working hunter, dolly really looks they part, I think they would do well.

Haha, yer i stole my mums horse when i was a teenager. She used to keep him fit and i used to compete both hers and mine!!! :D;)

Yer ive loaned till Star so the choice was always taken out of my hands. But im dreading when she gets to tall just making the most of it now!!!!:)

How very dare you!! I am a respectable 4 foot and 11 1/2 inches!!!!! Well 5 foot if I streeeeetch!!!!!!! Yeah, I'm short. But D has legs that seem to keep growing. She's gonna be pissed if she exceeds jockey size! :p

Daughter is tiny. Weights no more than 5 stone (on a bad day!) so I think she'll be fine for "playing" on her, but soon I think she's gonna feel it at shows :( particularly as her "thing" seems to be height. She likes going fast and jumping high. Oh what have I done. :eek:

Definately gonna try get her to trailblazers next year. Don't tell OH as he doesn't approve of distance. I'll take the time off and camp out with her. :)

The comes mounted games and racing!!! :D

No :o They want to, but I'm too chicken. Dolly is forward in "normal" situations so I'm crapping it. But I think they need to do it, at least once. I suspect Dolly has done it before. On farm rides etc.. she is bordering on ridiculous. Never been around hounds etc... I even know someone who would take her. Please don't try to convince me.......

Leave her on Dolly for as long as possible, you will be amazed how much more confident she will be on the next pony if left to grow into it.

My daughter is 5ft 3 and 14 and we still have her first 12.2hh pony and she still hacks him out when she wants, this year she did her last season of gymkhana on him, now he has a little sharer to compete him and she does her first games tomorrow, pony is only 13 so yrs left for little people to enjoy.

Daughters current pone is only 13.3 and the biggest we have is 14.1.............she can't have a horse until she is out working and buys it herself.

POnies - simply can't beat them - LOL!

lovely update as always. They look fantastic together - I love all the red and black stuff - one of my daughters has the same colour scheme. Her whole Christmas list is red and black -rugs, travel boots, hoodies etc. Your Highway Man costume is brilliant. Well done to your daughter on all her rosettes - she is doing so well. Definately give the mounted games a go - my 2 have just started and they both love it. It definately helped them come 1st and 2nd in a pc handy pony comp last week:). Looking forward to your riding update now.:D
 
They look great together, that video is fantastic. She's such a tidy rider :)

Tell miniRM tosh about 2 ponies ;) Al has 2, and loves them both beyond anything. She has her beautiful giant, Reg, who is her absolute world- he's a bit special, her first horse and they've got through a lot together. Then Bee, the little terror who has totally stolen Al's heart. It's like children- if you have more than 1, you don't love them both less... :D

I'd probably try and find Dolly a loaner who'd like to enjoy her, and then miniRM the next size up. Finding rides is so hard, and unrewarding if you don't have a pony that's your own as well. But she's got another 18 months at least before she's outgrown her in terms of ability (which is more gutting than size, really).

Sorry for the delay in replying, my HHO hasn't been working for a few day! Don't know if it's me or the site, probably me!!!

Thanks for your comments, you're always so kind!! It's very encouraging to hear people say that she's got a while yet before we need to move on. In an ideal world, I'd let daughter carry on with Dolly and get her something else in about 12 months, and have two. But we'll have to see how finances go. Definately planning on doing more games, and having a go at racing!

I suppose we'll just see what life brings us! :)

Yes, Daughter's Christmas list consists of red gloves, red chaps, red exercise sheet....little does she know she's got a red John Whitaker jacket on it's way! :p Don't tell her!!! :cool:

Well done to your two!! Dolly it quite good at games, but TERRIBLE at handy pony. I mean REALLY bad, very unhandy pony!!!

Poor Honey08 on here has had to chase them up the field once after Dolly took a dislike to......something.....I can't remember what, there's been a few things!!! :D

Nope, I'm exactly the same!

Different subject, but one company I can recommend is Bloomin Ponies - I bought Dolly's travelling set from there, and they do great exercise sheets too, quite cheap and good quality. Just was a really nice company to deal with and made for lovely pressies last year!!!

I have all the travelling gear and embroided rug;). Because Star was her Birthday present i roped family into getting her all the kit for brithday presents!! Ive got her a new bridle and breastplate with sheepskin:D (very showjumper);):D. But always looking for more pretty stuff!!!:D;)

I will look forward to seeing xmas piccies of yours dressed up in new stuff on Fb over xmas.:)

hahaha pictures usually look like they've crashed through Robinsons and taken half of it with them!!!

I do miss buying her Sylvanian families though!!! ;)

Although at least now shes asking for are more tastefull. About 4 years she wanted and got may i add a beautifull pink saddle and bridle!!!!!:eek::eek::eek:
 
Redmone are you going down to the Horseman's Carol Service at Friezeland - mulled wine and mince pies for adults, carrots for horses (hot vimto for kids) and everyone decked out in their Xmas gear..?

It's on the calendar!

She's got a working hunter show the day after, so it's going to depend on weather and what else we have on family/Xmas wise....but we're gonna try our best.

Do they ride anywhere? Just wondered as we missed it last year.

hahaha, No it was a little lead rein pony called sweetpea. Tiny little thing great on the lead rein, devil off the lead rein!!!:D

She wasnt allowd out to shows in it though she had a boring black saddle for that!!!;)

I think the pics are on FB i will tag you in them to see!!!
