David Arthur SJ Instructor - Bromley

Yes I have.

I really liked him but he is very, very blunt, to the point, and would probably ruffle some people's feathers. I also found him more helpful with some of my horses than others.

I get the impression he teaches more through wanting to help people than for the money. When I first contacted him and asked about lessons he very loftily told me that "my dear, I only teach those competiting or taking BHS qualifications" (or something like that) and got me to go to his yard at some uneaarthly hour at the weekend - I think I had to be there for 8am. That did get later as the lessons progressed and after a while, when he'd presumably decided I was worth helping he'd come to my yard and teach me on both of mine and didn't want a fortune for it.

I haven't seen him around for quite a while and did hear that he'd been unwell a while back.

Completely agree with this !!

morning - we have recently bought one of Davids ex race horses, and our 12 year old daughter would love to contact David to ask more about the horse, she was very fast and won some good races. Could someone kindly supply his contact details?
