Had a dressage lesson with him today.. What a lovely man ... I was very apprehensive when I had a lesson with him as he teaches top riders but I though hey... he is at our yard teaching go for it but I was quite apprehensive.... am I good enough... is he going to tear me apart but you know what I thoroughly enjoyed it... he was very patient and taught me a great deal in just 30 mins.. had a sense of humour and taught me not to be tooooooooo technical. I have been taught previously "mary wanless" techniques which I still think are great but I was getting tooo bogged down with the technicality of it all rather than just "getting on and riding".
. I use to think "is my powerhose in the right place, am I bearing down at the right time, is left shoulder higher than the right... blah blah..."!!
Dont get me wrong, I do think she is good but sometimes it rather did bombard my brain too much!!
