Dax-wax pedigree

Could you post a copy of her pedigree for us to see.

Sounds like Cyrus is on the case here, this is why some sort of identification and dna testing is really necessary in dog breeding, anyone can write out a pedigree

Is it possible the chap you got her from didn't realise she wasn't bred as he thought. It is quite likely someone would ask more for a "British Inuit" than a purebred sibe, knowing how crazy people are about such things.

See above, I managed to post about five of the things as the forum went boom on me.

You may be right, I can see British Inuits being a kind of fad thing that might attract the young bloke we got her from, being 'wolfalikes' and all.

I am also glad I am not the only mad person to ascribe a word to the sound dog feet make on hard floors, though I wonder what floors we have that make some tic-tac and some go tis-ka.

I am also endlessly amused by Dax-Wax, it's such a retro cheesy-looking product, must get some for OH.

I had seen the pedigrees, I was trying to be funny, obviously failed miserably.

BC have had some info from someone who has to be one of the most knowledgeable people in the breed that I know

She believes Dax`s pedigree is a genuine one and Dax looks like something that pedigree would produce

Dax`s pedigree isnt inbred at all she says "that pedigree is pretty much as outcrossed as you can get! It's a combination of two lines which sadly ended up in what you could politely call "commercial breeding", and the line behind Amarok's Eclipse Noir is French. Eclipse's parents were Amarok's Boski and Amarok's Amber. Boski's parents were Nikita of Trixy and Amarok's Udatsa, Amber's parents were the French, International and World Champion Amarok's Sergei and Choudak's Lara, who was the daughter of Forstal's Leo of Mikalya (also affectionately known as "The Red Rug")"

She can give you a 6-10 generation pedigree for her if you wish and provide pictures of her ancestors too

Went straight over my head too, I though MM was being a bit dense

Worrying that you both thought I was so thick.

I actually meant to hit the wink smiley, got the wrong one.
Good result Cyrus, but how strange someone somewhere was trying to pass her off as a cross. Looks like your other half got his wish then about having a husky BC.

On the bright side, if I keep pretending to myself she's part GSD I can still hope that one day I can let her off the lead and actually see her again.

Cyrus, I think you ought to add 'sled dog detective' to your list of achievements.

Sad but true about the commercial breeding aspect, I suppose, seeing as her mum must be at least eight years old by now if not older. Perhaps she was the last of the litter and they advertised her as something else in order to shift her? I expect the fluffy blue-eyed ones go first, not the scrawny short-coated brown-eyed pain in the arses.
