My TB had his shoes off today. He is going to need boots in front at least to start with. I have ordered Cavallo Simples to get him going, thanks to advice on here, they should be here by the weekend. I am really looking forward to his feet changing.

Wee hint - looking for "changes" every day will drive you nuts.

Take photos monthly.

Keep a diary maybe and a couple of months down the track, go back and look at day one.

Be very, very patient.

And in twelve months, may be you party.

Good luck and keep us posted ! It can be a slow process, so don't rush things, and always listen to what your horse is telling you. :)

Hopefully a whole new hoof will have grown long before 12 months :)

This.

I drove myself insane with worry when I took my old horse's shoes off! so much so that I was having a nervous breakdown by 6 weeks with reading on here and other forums, stressing about every little thing, looking at them every day, worrying if I was doing the right thing... put the shoes back on and carried on as normal with a lot less grey hairs on my part! ;)

But seriously, good luck and don't look at the feet obsessively.
