GRRRR having a terrible day!! After debabting whether or not to put my boys out today coz of the bad weather and muddy fields i decided i would in the hope that I would finish work early enough to put them to bed at a decent hour! Finished work half and hour later than expected and couldn't bring the horses in becuase my 'friend' hadnt brought hers in and cudnt leave him on his own. She pratted about for about an hour mucking out and things!! This being the person who didnt start college till 1 and yet she didnt get out of bed while i started work at 10 and managed to get up and muck out 2 horses, bed them back down again and do all my other jobs!! Then she moaned at me for sitting there and not helping her! In the end i got so frustrated I went to get Milo in only to find that he had no rug on!! Turned him out this morning in his mark todd heavy weight full neck!! I was fuming as he looked so cold!! Don't have a clue how hes got it off but hes broken it quite badly

cost me a fortune aswell and its not very old. Friend had no sympathy instead started talking under her breath about me to her boyfriend!! Was so fed up, angry and upset so have decided that Im only turning out when im not at work so poor horses dont have to endure being out in the cold and dark! And so called friend can forget me turning her horse out every day for free which i have done since they've been in!!

Sorry guys, jst so fed up

Hot choccy and hugs for everyone who finishes

Next time you find yourself in this position (wanting to get your horses in, but not wanting to leave one on its own), tell your friend "I'm going to get my horses in".

It's then her choice whether to go and bring hers in or to leave it. It's not your responsibility.

agree with the two posters above! And how annoying about the rug, mine has done this before, very depressing i feel your pain !

Agreed, its a sensible rule but other people have to fit in too - its no harm to muck out with a horse in the stable or put it in a spare one to help someone else.

Also...friend???

I'd kick her in the sponge!

Today I had a lesson at 4 and was hopelessly late due to traffic and didn't get down the yard until 3.30. The field takes 15 minutes to walk to ...

Anywho, my poor friend was quite happily chilling in her stable mucking out and I made her frog march all the way down there and back so that I could make it

Obviously she could've walked as I'd have brought her horse the majority of the way back but she was quite happy to huff and puff it down there ! She helped me tack up too

Ye i did tell her that i wanted to get my 2 in but she snapped my head off with 'well mine will be on his own and iv not even mucked out yet!' Im too soft for my own good I realli am! And iv just accessed the rug and its pretty badly damaged

my guess is that hes been rolling and got his leg stuck and panicked and somehow wriggled outta it :/ Blooming animal!! Good job i love him coz hes robbing me blind ! xx

The key word change here is i AM (not want). Then you go get horses.

Do your local tack shop do repairs? they may be able to fix it for you? I'm soft too so don't beat yourself up too much xx

At least your horses are in I'm on a train which has stood still for the last 20mins due to weather conditions which when I get home need to go out in and bring horses in

Sorry but what's yor rant you sat there and watched her muck out. Sorry but aren't your horses more important and would she do the same for you. Think on girl

Sorry? Why on earth should OP have to muck out someone elses bloomin horse because the girl was too lazy to get up at a reasonable hour.
No sorry but you are living in cloud cuckoo land. I would have been telling her to jog on.
"I am getting my horses in NOW, so you might want to grab yours" would be all she would have got!

Hang on I need to get my banjo

She could always just tie her horse up outside her stable. At the moment, Super_Kat is bringing my mare in for me because i am too lazy to walk to the field...but i tie my mare up outside the box until i'm ready for her. Its not rocket science.

i would have them in and not waited about.
just say ive got to get to .... at ..... so i am brining mine in now.
if shes there she can get hers in if she wants. if the stable isnt mucked out, surely it can stand tied up with a net?
