**** day - ROR clinic with Nick Turner

Worried now, im booked on an ROR clinic in May (only 1 mile from home) with Karen Dixon. Hope my day doesn't end up as bad as yours. Ive put on form no jumping as I like all 4 feet firmly on ground and I concentrate on dressage. (Although horse has done well eventing with previous owner) Anyone had a lesson with Karen, whould be keen to hear how you got on?

Karen dixon has so much expierience with ex racers and from what I have seen demos etc she is no nonsense but explains everything really well. On the website of another well known horse magazine (y*** H****) there are some vids of her at a demo last year working with ex racers which are really informative

First of all, I hope my post hasn't put people off Nick Turner. Even though I found the lesson he gave me a waste of time, that's not to say people will have the same experience as me!

I did not expect miracles from my lesson, I know that it will take a lot of time to sort his canter out. All I wanted was some advice, even maybe a different approach from what my own RI has been teaching me. I also know that letting my horse sort himself out can help, but I also wanted Nick to say 'right he's had his fun, lets try this...?' Even if it was just a few minutes.
