lovely pony! hmmm... no hat required due to the sensory issues some children with autism have around their heads. Hmmmmm. Not sure about how i feel on that one.
Re the hat I have no idea about how severe the issues are regarding sensory issues but there were a lot of handlers around to help and I doubt they go any faster than a walk and the horses would be hoof perfect.
I normally bang on about wearing hats but have no idea of the pros/cons in this case and I'm sure the centre know what they are doing.
Didn't see the thing on Daybreak, but I have autism and have my own horse, and she's the best thing that ever happened to me, and has helped me so much in all aspects of my life, so I know how helpful horses can be Does anyone know if it's possible to see the pony thing again, apart from on ITV +1?
I didn't see it either but I have a friend with 2 austistic kids & when they were younger they used to have riding lessons at their school. They absolutely loved it!! They still come to visit ours now they're in their teens & love every minute of being with him!
