Does anybody own a pair of these ?

http://www.brogini.com/product_detail.cfm?id=S3602#

I'm thinking about ordering a pair this week. I have also looked at Sergio Grasso 'Bescias' and so Calevo's, but im always drawn back to the De Niro's.

I've previously had Mountain Horse and Ariat's. Both of which didnt last a year (i am bad and wear them everyday).

These would be kept in the lorry for competing only.

Yep I have a pair and they are great. Look nice. I dont use them everyday, have a pair of Ariat Bromonts for that, I just keep these for shows.

Took a bit of time to drop though, but guess all boots do. No problems to report so far.

Rx

Brilliant thats just what i wanted to hear! Did you order yours from an independent retailer or from the website direct? I'm hoping they will have a man size 10 in stock as i'm terribly impatient. Or do they make every pair to measure?

I have the patent diamond boot - Joshua jones de Niro special. Best boots I have ever had on my feet. Required no breaking in, but the only thing is if I wear them for an excessively long time- ie an away show with lots

Blooming phone! Lots of walking they rub the back of my heel where the spur cover is.

Would not have anything else, well worth the wait

Got it now, thankyou. How do you clean yours? At the moment i clean my tall boots the old fashioned way with a tin of £1.99 kiwi polish and an on and off brush. I've heard that putting polish on £400 boots might not be the best idea?

i'm in the military so i have an obsession with shiney boots.

I just use saddle soap. When they actually get a clean! Half of my boots are patent anyway so come up shiny easy.

Effax leder Balsam is great and feeds the leather.

I havent got any but there are a few showjumpers that have them, they look really swish, but when i found them on the internet i almost dropped my phone with the price.

They are reeeaaallllyyy nice though :)

I have had a pair for about a year and they are my 'best' boots - so come out mostly for competitions and lessons. I love them and didn't have any problems breaking them in, which was my main concern. :)

Sorry I'm going to go against the grain here.

I have a pair ( not the model you're looking at ) and for the price I'm not particularly impressed with them.

Initially I ordered them at Badminton one year & was measured to ensure the correct fit as they didn't have my size there. After a very lengthy wait they finally arrived - and didn't fit, not even close!

After getting a refund they recommended a supplier 'close' to me so I drove the 100 mile round trip & came home with a pair, unfortunately the leather grain is slightly different on each boot but after all the palava I decided to get them anyway. Initially they were an epic to get on for a while but after wearing them round the house & breaking them in I started riding in them. Now as a 'competition' boot I would expect them to touching the sides of a sweaty horse but the inside of the calves went very hard, and I mean solid, after a few rides. I've tried everything on them to soften them there but nothing works. It's very disappointing.

My husband was then being very lovely & ordered me a pair in brown to surprise me, apparently they took 13 weeks to come & when they did I put them on, zipped them up & the zip bust! The zipper was jammed at the top & the zip just burst from there down even though they were the same size as my black ones. I phoned the company with them stuck on my leg & explained I would have to cut the material at the top of the zip to release the zip pull & they agreed to it as they were clearly faulty.

They were duly returned and after waiting a further 16 weeks for a replacement pair which never arrived I cancelled & got my husband a refund.

I'm sure my experiences are not the norm but they're a boot I won't be buying again.

I agree with above poster. I have the S2602 model and they were a waste of money. They took FOREVER to arrive, much longer than the timeframe I was given, and I was constantly chasing them. When they finally arrived the leather is gorgeous but the zips a PITA and I really cant imagine it lasting long.

The boots are a strange shape which puts my balance out when in the stirrup as I have to have too much 'toe' not containing any toes stuck out the front to get the ball of my foot in the right place (couldnt have gone any smaller shoe though).

I was determined to use them and had forgotten over winter how uncomfy they were so put them on for a competition on saturday....they didnt stay on any longer than the DR they trapped one of my ankles so painfully. Fortunately I had my old trusty boots with me and immediately swapped. The back of the boot also rubs on the ankle bone. :(.

Overall I would say one of my worst purchases ever for that kind of money. With long legs but beastie calves I'm a hard shape to fit off the peg and I was delighted to find somewhere stocking sizes I fit in, the leather is also gorgeous, but everything else lets them down entirely.

I think Im going to ebay mine tbh, I keep ending up persuading myself to put them on again as they are so pretty but totally awful to use/wear!

My de Niro caprice arrived this week, I love them! I ordered them at Olympia and told I would have them end of feb which I did- Debbie from Joshua jones was excellent service brilliant and very happy with the product!

I have a pair of m2m ones in chocolate with ostrich leather tops, I love them so so much and they did fit like a glove and were incredibly comfortable to wear straight away. They are for best though and well worth it IMO. I just have to lose some weight and will hopefully be back in them some once baby pops out. I feel bad now as had almost forgot I have them and am tempted to just go and look at them and stroke them now. Happy shopping!

I ordered them directly from the manufacturers and had them delivered to the shop at Crofton Manor. Only took about 5 days to get to the shop. Had them on a re-sale basis just in case they didnt fit.

i use tretorn at home love them, very comfy!

De Niro's at shows, but i got my last pair at a show, pink trim with the diamontae's! feel like Katie Price!

My son bought some last year, from Dogwood London, who were really helpful (by phone and their website, we live miles from their shop) about measuring accurately and also very frank about how long they would take to arrive, as the factory in Italy shuts for the whole of August. We were offered a refund if we didn't want to wait, they kept us posted, as we decided we would wait and the boots were definitely worth waiting for.

They are stunning, beautiful leather, fit like a glove and took almost no wearing in.

Recommend looking at Dogwood's website, as their prices were the best I could find.

I absolutely ADORE my De Niros! I'd never heard of them when I got them, think I paid about £250 and it was the best money on riding boots I've spent. Super comfy, didn't need any breaking in whatsoever and they're a lovely neat fit. Would absolutely recommend them (although would totally baulk at having to pay £400 for a new pair if that's what they go for now!). No problems with zips etc so far, but I do only keep them for good and at the moment I'm not getting out all that often...

Just purchased my 1st pair...major risk as did self meausuring for an ebay listing brand new £195!! (stock clearance!) WOW WOW WOW why didnt i buy these boots years only...worn 3 times so far...1st for a lesson and then 2 shows since and they are sooo comfy...1st time claves ached a bit as were very close fit but now they are perfect and will def recommend & purchase again

Does anyone know if you can still get the full patent boot with the swarovski crystals at the top? Saw a pair on ebay a few months ago and stupidly didnt get them and now cant find them anywhere!!!! Have looked on the de niro website but they're not on there, probably coz they're not this season's model!!

I got mine from the Joshua Jones stand at Hickstead - I adore them and would ride everyday in them if I could afford a second pair! Wore mine straight to a 2 week away show without breaking them in and had no problems.

100% recommend
