he he ..made me laugh....our mare rarely lies down , but in the field next to us they are always doing it ..I,m frequently thinking the b*ggers are dead!.........I,ll call and call and they don,t move.....then go jogging over and hey presto ..back from the dead!!.....
 
sooo sweet ! had the farrier today who said she passed my place a week ago and both mine were flat out on the arena and her little girl said "are the horses dead mummy" she replied no - just sleeping but after passing again later on felt she had to toot the horn at them just to make sure as they were both still flat out !! they do have a hard life - esp. meesha who is retired and field ornament ! poor ponies !

You are very lucky to get a picture like this I have never seen mine flat out. He is so worried something is going to eat him....! Lovely pics
 
Phew! was a bit scared to open this!! :D
We regularly get people knocking on the door to say that there is a dead horse in our field, or a dead sheep! :D
One day a man knocked and said there was a horse chasing a sheep and the horse had wool in it's mouth. It was Blaze! We saw her do it again later, one of the rams tried to play with Jasmine, who was about 2 at the time and Blaze's foster foal. Obviously she thought the ram was attacking her bab, so she got in there first! Whoops!!
They're fine with them now, but in summer we get a 'dead' report almost daily :D
