Dealer or no dealer

You are the same as me; like I said in my initial post I'm a dealer/producer/breeder.

I just don't deal very often; once in a blue moon and only to help friends out who can't sell their own horses.

I guess that would get rid of the dealer part of my business as I really would be an agent rather than a dealer

Well i have been a producer for 15 years and really wouldnt explain the explanation as that but i suppose everyone will have different opinions.
Just one thing i wanted to ask Christaimas was from this quote you wrote.

[ QUOTE ]

[/ QUOTE ] Heyho, I don't mind either way, every time a horse has been vetted her for the purchaser, it has been my vet who has done the vetting - and a rather thorough job he does too!

I am a little concerned that your vet does vettings for horses you are selling. This is slightly worrying as this is illegal, only a vet that has NO connections with the owner is allowed to vet a horse. They should not have seen the horse before or treated them for anything. He should not be doing vettings for horses you are selling.

Totally agree with Scrapeesh on the above, I know alot of top showjumping yards that 'produce' for clients and they have bent vets what will pass anything for them for the right money.
May not be something everyone agrees on but im sure we all know it happens even at the top of the top.
