That's what I was going to suggest too.
Congratulations AE. Is she the OBOS mare? She looks lovely on the FB page.

Yes. Obos Quality is Amber's Grandad. She is by Beach Ball (Obos Quality X Echo Beach). I didn't know that when the horse first caught my eye but I'm happy now. I am in no way expecting another Amber - this is not a would-be replacement. But liking a horse's breeding is a good starting point.

Is Beach Ball a show jumping grey? I think I knew a Beach Ball when he was owned by a rich person who bought and set up a SJ yard. If it's the same stallion he was a lovely person

I am impressed - you don't hang around! :)

Well in some ways it is quick but in other ways, Amber retired over a year ago! So it feels like I have waited a long time to feel ready to buy another long term horse. Toby was only ever meant to be a 'while Amber is recovering' project. If this one (who really needs a name!) isnt right, I'' move her on but at the moment I have high hopes that she is my next eventing partner and long term pony pal.

Epona maybe? She was the patron goddess of mares and foals. However, she was a Celtic goddess rather than specifically Irish.
