I seem to have lost all the Facebook pages and contacts I had when I was horse shopping last time, so hoping you knowledgable lot can help me out!

Does anyone have any recommendations of dealers who have nice, small all rounder types? Can find lots that deal in big event/sport horse types and lots that do cobs, but ideally looking for something in the middle (like everyone else I guess!). Preferably dealers around the south/south east/south west.

I know Shane Walsh and NT Equine but wracking my brain for any more!

Marsh ponies always have lovely connies in! Never used them personally but I’ve followed them on fb and Instagram for a while and even follow one they sold on Instagram which is doing very well.

How small? I know a yard who have a very smart mare who could do any job. she is 16 hands.

Worth trying Lyn Roberts at Kilnhanger, if she hasnt got what you want, then she'll be happy to advise. Hers are usually exactly what she says.
Marsh ponies have wound right down now as new ventures being done, not sure if they have much in at all.
OP, keep eyes wide open with one of those you mention, and if getting vetted, be there.

Good luck x

14.2 to 16 so within my size bracket! Prefer smaller/slimmer types as I’m tiny and struggle with chunky types on the ground.

Interesting - I bought a horse from one of those. Said horse wasn’t as described at all, and is now a field ornament under two years later... (though is still the love of my life!)

PM'd you

Charlotte Bayliss (CB sportshorses) in Winchester has some lovely types in. My partner and I have injured horses currently so she kindly offered us some riding with her at weekends on the sales horses, as well as hunting a couple. she has lovely straight genuine horses. Definitely worth contacting.

I'd say that goes for both of them, although in my experience only one of them was selling something I'd deem dangerous, the other just had a bunch who were much much greener than stated and a good hand or so shorter 😂
