I've sen the rider out and about but can't place them any better than that

We went there to try out a pony earlier this year. It was meant to be 14.2 and we were looking at it for Junior BSJA. Nice people, nice yard. The pony was too much for my daughter and so we wouldn't have bought it for that reason - but another reason that it was no way going to measure 151cm with shoes (now required). It was 15hh-15.1hh when I measured it.

My daughter has had some lessons with Mike Saywell - he's right under Cottam power station - very spooky for a pony on a first visit there!

Andrew Saywell is his son and is a recommended BSJA instructor, but I beleive he doesn't teach juniors.

Louise Saywell is Mike's daughter and she's in the top rankings for junior BSJA.

There are a lot of ponies who are over height so nothing unusual there. There is one top JA that actually measured 15.3 as a three year old - I saw it advertised when it was for sale. A few years later it is a medal winning JA. Must have had a bath with the water too hot?
