Dealers in north lincs

I need to 'get rid ' OH words not mine if our pony. Do dealers collect ponies? I don't have transport.

If there is such a thing as a nice dealer does anyone know of any in north lincs, I live in Scunthorpe area.

How much would I get for a nearly 6 yr old connie cross, good to hack works well on the flat jumps 80cm with fillers etc. She's a bit funny about having her feet done and can sometimes throw a cheeky tantrum baby style. Other than that she's fab.

I really can't afford to have her any longer :(

I've advertised her all over for £1500 which I thought was a fair price but had zero interest.

Can anyone one help??? :(
 
Have you asked your dentist/physio/vet/farrier/local feed and tack shops? Or at riding schools - staff could know of someone, dealer or private.

Sorry about your predicament. I can't offer any help as I don't know your area. There are people that advertise "we buy any horse", at the back of the H&H who will collect, however I don't know how "nice" they would be and they probably wouldn't give you much money.

Do you know anyone who would take her on loan? Perhaps a local riding school.
 
Don't know of any but does your OH realise a dealer will only give you a couple of hundred quid if your lucky?
 
I really need a little cash for her to pay outstanding livery :( can't believe it's come to this. If she goes on loan I won't be able to sell her saddle which is brand new.

Such a mess :( just want a good home for her. Feel like I've let her down :(
 
Im so sorry of your predicament, just echoing what others have said.

Also my OH tries the get rid all the time, I tell him I'll get rid of him first:D then he soon shuts up, hope u get it sorted, she's lovely x

I don't want to pry, so appologies in making any silly suggestions, but any way you could "work off" the livery bill?
 
I so wish I could help you, what a horrible situation to be in :( She sounds just my type too, but I can't have another :(

All I can suggest is to keep advertising, as it would be less heartbreaking to sell her (hopefully) to someone who was able to give her a long term home. Where do you have her advertised, perhaps people could suggest the sites they use most when looking to buy?

I have mainly bought through word of mouth, but did buy my colt off Preloved.

Ok, as the saddle is brand new, I would say sell that first. Get as much as you can for it. In fact do a sale of every item you can live without and put all the proceeds to the livery bill.

Once that's done, refocus on selling your mare. You may get an offer for her in the meantime anyway, but at least you will have hopefully made some cash:)

Also, once livery bill is sorted, could you move the mare somewhere cheaper/grass livery or rented field? Or, probably a long shot, but could a registered charity or animal sanctuary take her, even temporarily, in exchange for a donation of whatever she is eventually sold for?
 
Have you tried any of the riding schools? Just thinking of other options.

There's a lot of 'Equine's for sale Lincs' similar pages on FB - i'd advertise on those too.

There is a dealer who advertises on Preloved and they are based in Crowle - don't know anything about them but have seen their adverts when I have been browsing.

Is she straight and honest? I would have her off you if she is (I do deal and hope to be thought of as a "nice dealer") I know it's a long way but would just send a transporter to collect her and do a bank transfer, just needs to be safe and sensible. And I do love a connie x!
