dealers, quick horse sale needed

needing to sell now as WBB is becoming just too much to cope with as well as 3 small children & a OH that works away a lot.

she has been up for sale for a while but just no interest (who wants a 10h3" that isnt a childs ride at the moment) she is a quick learner & i think a lot of her but something has to give.

any ideas? please
 
Have you tried advertising her as a potential driving pony - you would generally get replies from adult handlers?
 
Have you tried project horses? If not, then the sales? Just an idea - I know I am going to get slated!!!
 
Ppl are still looking for companion ponies, have you searched through wanted ads, seeing if there is anyone who wants a cheap pony?
 
I have just sold my Sec A, advertised as a companion/project ( he has had 18 months of work so needs restarting ) I sold him wirhin a week of advertising.

Are you maybe askimg to much for her?
 
I just bought similar for £100 including delivery. Just wanted a companion, but there are lots of these £100 ponies out there so you may have to cut your losses
 
Oh thats a shame, maybe lack of price is putting ppl off. Maybe they dont want to contact you and sound cheeky by offering £100. Have you tried free-ads and preloved? Find alot of ppl use those sites when looking for cheap horses.
 
Whatever route you take be it a dealer or an auction you will not get alot for her. Maybe make one last attempt and advertise her at £50. I would be suprised if you got more than that at the moment from your local auction.
 
I seem to spend my entire time on here saying have you tried pony club, and honestly I am not on their payroll, but have you asked local pony club dc? They might know of a child who would like her to bring on. My daughter would have her in a heartbeat to bring on and sell, but we're too far away. Transport would cost more than pony!
 
In what way do you mean she is too much to do with 3 young kids?? Is it just having x amount of ponies, or does she have 'issues'??
 
I don't mean to be unkind but have you considered PTS? If she is not suitable for a child, which is the main market for such a small pony, it will be very difficult to find her a good, long-term home and there is every chance she will be passed around. I wonder if PTS may not be better than an uncertain life.
 
Like said in the title, A dealer would take her but for not very much money and her future would be very unsure..
Never sold to a dealer, and probably never will, Although I have bought from dealers.
Try advertising her in riding schools, tack shops, feed shops...
Good Lcuk - There isn't a lot selling ATM it seems!

I beg to differ.Why dont you offer her as a companion ot put her on permanant loan.I would NEVER sell to a dealer,the poor pony would probebly end up on the plate.
 
she is just 10 & a dream on the ground & with a couple of months work she would be fine to ride but a present she bucks as soon as you go to mount (everything check out ok) in harness she is proving to be quick to learn & will soon also make a fantastic driving pony but i have 3 children under 4, an OH that is hardly home & a second pony that has BIG ISSUES so time is just not there for the schooling she needs as well as schooling my other (he has regressed due to being left to try & get her saleable/sold)

i dont have quite the hatered some do for dealers as at least they have a code of conduct & you can go to trading standards with them if they really mis-sell the horse to you.
private sellers there is no comeback & this is why im it this mess now.
