I no longer venture off the yard so am completely safe.Lordy huns - did you have your brave pills this morning???![]()
Its not these people who exaggerate that annoy me but the people who ridicule them, who are, most likely, the people who have driven them to the lies in the first place. The horse world can be an extremely nasty place and I think rather than being horrible and talking about these people behind their backs we should just have sympathy and include them. If they are included they feel wanted and then have no reason to lie. After all they only do it to impress and get included into the elite club. But then that would be too nice and many people don't do nice![]()
Is there really a need to be so rude to the OP? She has started a thread as she is entitled to do so on a public forum, if you don't like the tone or subject of it...don't reply. Wow there are some touchy people around today. Bit of common politeness wouldn't go amiss sometimes.![]()
Lol!!! Love to know who would want to join my 'elite club'...what the Over 40 Divorcee Horsey Club?
Me three. Think OP might have a bee in her bonnet or a chip on her shoulder or something.
Now you see I would read in to that the possibility that the person had some time in the past won too much to compete but had since lost their confidence. It happens.LOL I'll join
we've got some prixe b********ers on our yard, one said she was going to compete at showjumping so we said we would go and watch, she then told us that its actually advertised as nervous and novice jumping so she would be entering "not for competition" as she has won too much to be eligible !! Funny there was another comp much closer that she was eligible for !!! LOL
but we already knew that![]()
Well this girl competing at olympia doing the 128cms funny how tehres no 128cm tehehe![]()

Rude to me.Little OT to have it 'removed' but there seems to be some attitude directed towards the OP and it's rather uncomfortable for those of us who prefer to enjoy adult threads without having to read these sorts of comments, I personally don't like nasty little comments and would rather pull someone up, if that's okay with you?
Oh so it's okay to write absolutely any reply to any thread now is it??? Fab gloves off.
You get people like that all the time!
One woman used to watch other peoples lessons and sl8g them off openly to their faces yet pooped her pants when jumping her 16.1 schoolmaster over 2ft.
I tend to think they are bitter or jealous and just trying to make themselves feel better.
Now you see I would read in to that the possibility that the person had some time in the past won too much to compete but had since lost their confidence. It happens.
Perhaps supporting would have been a better approach than mocking.
Funny, I though Harry Charles won the H&M 128cm Mini Stakes at Olympia on Matthew's Girl... Who is going to tell him he didn't?
We could all be telling enormous porkies on here all the time.... how are you to know QUOTE]

Totally agree with this & known too many to list. One proud mum said her daughters dressage trainer (who had 'competed abroad') said she & her Welsh D (no offence to Welsh D's, just reckon they aren't the most common affiliated dressage horse) were too good to do prelim or novice & should enter straight at medium! The only competition they had won (including local show stuff against young kids) was a video competition for a very minor society. Apparently the judges at the other comps just couldn't spot real dressage movement.....
Then there was the young woman would would ride anything if it wasn't for her dodgy hips. Old ned she hadn't ridden for years died, got youngster & fell off. Now doesn't ride it, pays somoeone else too....but she jumped over 4'! I personally witnessed her pee her pants & refuse to jump a straw bale at a pony club show. All fences had to be placed on ground before she would go round working hunter class.
Plenty of others, not enough time to go through them!

If she's riding a 128cm pony its 12.2hh which means she is tiny, and most likely young so why be a bitch and a bully like you have. grow up and get over yourself!!!
If we were all more supportive of each other, and proud of each others achievements regardless of whether they've walked over a coloured pole for the first time or gone round badminton sat on their shetland backwards, then people wouldnt need to exaggerate.
But as it is, nobody can be supportive of anyone else anymore so everyone else shows off to try and get one up.
Fair enough if you know that someone is lying about their achievements. But never ever discount something as a lie just because you believe a certain breed or type "can't" do a discipline. I have a good friend with a gypsy cob that dishes for England, but he uses himself, moves nicely and she absolutely cleans up at dressage comps. And have you seen some Welsh Ds move?Totally agree with this & known too many to list. couldnt agree more~~~so many people do this. someone local to us with irish coloured gypsy cob that dishes was broadcasting that she was "dressaging" this season and the gypsy cobs do best at dressage because of their wonderful movement!!!
