Unfortunately we had no choice but to remove the "Safe haven France part 2" thread following a complaint due to the defamatory content it contained.
Admin would like to remind all forum users that if they wish to keep these threads live, they need to take more care about what they post and ensure they do not break forum T&amp;Cs.

While I can see your point Admin, the problem is that the people who want threads removed are in a position to control the content, by posting defamatory comments and then 'someone' asking for the thread to be deleted. Could you please warn and then ban members who do this? Thank you

Absolutely, we (and you) are being held hostage by the very few and 'NEW' members who are making a mockery of the forum and free speech etc. They are taking the pz out of us AND you admin. Add my name too. Mairi.
 
Admin, I think we all understand WHY it was removed, what we are asking is if you can put it back up but with the parts removed that have cause the complaint??

If you by printed in this weeks H&amp;H means the top 5 list, Admin have posted answers about which threads that makes it on to the top 5 HHO list. The first I read about it was when someone wondered why a thread in Soapbox that had a two-digit number of pages with replies, wasn't on the top 5 list. Then the Admin answer was that since HHO is a Horse and Hound forum, Soapbox threads wont be on the top 5 list, regardless how many pages of replies or numbers of views it gets.

Next Admin answer that I've seen, was when Tankey's thread in New Lounge named (something like) "How to shoot a head-shy horse?" wasn't on that weeks top 5 list even though it was about horses, posted in New Lounge and had a two-digit number of replies. The answer as I recall it, was something along that the top 5 list is only a selection that is chosen by Admin and that having had the highest number of views and/or highest number of pages with replies doesn't equal that it will get on the top 5 list.



So I don't think Admin needed/wanted to delete it for avoiding to print it.
 
As I was too ill to come on here yesterday, I do not know the content of the thread. It sounds as if it contained information that I and other concerned horse people should know.
When a thread is pulled because one or two people deliberatly post defamatory comments, simply to get it pulled, I feel it is very wrong. Surely H&amp;H should be highlighting the discusting activities going on?
In view of this, I add my name.
 
Thanks Shils, I see where admin is coming from re the amount of time it would take to trawl through a long thread. I really hope they starting all out banning people that blatently break the T&amp;C, it's one thing to advertise in a round about way or to have a moan about a company you have issues with but to post names and email address of other people is just totally out of order and is a clear attempt to get a thread deleted!
