Death from Illness Claim through PetPlan - Advice Please

There's a somewhat irony that I could not insure a horse down the road and therefore claim for it, yet I could get a passport for a horse I do not own (may not even exist) and use that as proof of ownership to an insurance company and claim for it...

My horse was on a short LWVTB, I took out insurance for him with Petplan. As I was the policy holder any payments would be paid to me. They also informed the owner in writing informing them of this. Obviously the money would have been passed on by me had the unthinkable happened. OP hope you get your money back very soon.
