Death of Iris Kellet

Oh my, one of the very greatest ever. RIP Iris, you were amazing. I was lucky enough to have had a lesson with her once in a clinic, and while I was probably too green to recognise how incredible she was, it was an experience I'll never forget.

one in a million, an absolute icon. she was a trailblazer for women in the sport and her contribution to the irish equestrian industry is amazing!

The end of an era. Iris was an amazing trainer and had a great ability to improve horses and riders. I was so lucky to have learn a huge amount from her when she came and gave clinics over here. I, for one, will never forget her.

I went round her stables once, although I wasn't able to meet her. She started with a small riding school in the middle of Dublin and then was able to sell the land for development and bought land outside of Dublin and built a wonderful new riding school.

She was certainly one of the greats.

She was an incredible lady - I was lucky enough to be taught by her at Kill and rode a friends horse at Daffodill Lodge where I had regular lessons with her - she was a true inspiration to a generation of riders in Ireland and there are many at the top who would not be there without her guidance.

Rip - an amazing woman.

I had the great privilege of working for her for a year - many moons ago - and have never forgotten her teachings. She will be greatly missed. RIP Miss K
