The scandal of the Spanish welfare case, where 16 horses from Holme Park Stud were found dead, and another 36 are currently dying of deliberate neglect and starvation whilst in the care of a British woman living out there, seems to have gone quiet on this Forum over the last week.

For those who expressed a wish to help financially, I see on the Holme Park Stud website that an account has been set up with Lloyds Bank. Details are:-
Bank: Lloyds TSB plc.
Sort Code: 30-90-79
Account No. 01717289
Account Name: Spanish Appeal

Or cheques payable to "Spanish Appeal" can be sent to
Susan Attew, Holme Park Stud, Bedford Road, Northill, Bedfordshire SG18 9AL.

These poor horses need all the help they can get. This money will be used to fund their recovery while still out in Spain and hopefully their return to the UK in due course.

Have the Guardia Civil agreed to hand the horses or their care over now

I'm very happy to help. But will only donate money once I know that the horses have been signed over to Holme Park Stud.

There are some pretty harrowing pictures.

I can't seem to paste a direct link, so you may have to type this into your search engine. Sorry!

I honestly don't know what the current situation is with the authorities, but previous posters were keen to help and asked for bank details when known, so just alerting everyone to them.

Some further info would be helpful.

I was just wondering whether i could PM admin to make my thread above a sticky so that people could refer to it in future for further updates etc. Will PM them right away!
