Decent dressage trainer herts/cambs/beds

Hi, am looking for a dressage trainer for my rather hot event horse.

My aim is to have a light, responsive, balanced, relaxed horse, that I can ride with light aids.
I don't want to continually ride in draw reins, or with a strong, leg, hand seat.
I realise there will of course be moments of tension in order to move forward, but I want the aim to always be the above.
I would also like the work to remain interesting with lots of exercises to do at home.
This all sounds easy but I am struggling to find the right trainer for us.
We used to have matt cox who I liked, but he has moved back to Surrey and haven't really clicked with anyone else.

Any ideas?
 
Hi guys, am just outside baldock. Not been out doing pure dressage recently, just be dressage.... Working at home doing medium work as exercises. Horse is very forward and can get set on the neck and therefore strong. Built slightly downhill, which trying to improve, particularly as had front suspensory injury, before we can really crack on eventing, as she tends to run onto her head xc..... Hope that helps.. :)
 
Okay here's a few....

Carol Bennitt in Aston Clinton - Beds. Very calm and quiet but gets results, trains in germany has one Intermediate II horse and one Grand prix horse currently and a yard full of younger ones. I had a clinic with her and was very impressed.

Caroline Hutley in Mursely - Bucks. Very experienced, my trainer trains with her.. Very good at thinking outside the box when something isn't falling into place.

David Trott - don't need to say anything. His reputation speaks for it'self.

Gareth or Rebecca Hughes at Classic Dressage Bucks. Both really good trainers, especially for the higher levels. Definately get results and Classic is a lovely place to go to train.

Michaela Burke - my trainer. Been to nationals with her home produced KWPN who is S.T.U.N.N.I.N.G - even David Trott thinks he's special! One to watch at the mo! Really encouraging but makes you work hard and is willing to put the extra effort in to make sure you understand what you're asking of your horse. Always quick thinking to try something else, I never work on the same thing in lessons but I always get the results I want. Rides very softly - no pulling your horse around like they're trained to on the continent.

Hi thanks a lot for all those names, I have had some lessons with Carol Bennitt, really liked her, but just found her a bit far away, she tended to be away a lot and that coupled with when I could get to her, wasnt really working. Although I have just heard that she is teaching fortnightly nearby so that could be a possibility.
Hoping to find someone not more than about 45 mins away, going to try Mark Ruddock this wednesday, as he does clinics at the yard I have moved to, but I do tend to sj on a Wednesday, so not ideal situation.

I agree re Gareth Hughes, saw him riding and was very impressed, but think they are just too far from me.... :(

Will look up Michaela Burke and see where she is in relation to me, as she sounds interesting......
 
Michaela is near Dunstable in bedfordshire.. but will travel I believe? I really do recommend her a lot she has turned my shuffly relunctant to bend and do anything to evade connie into a flicky floaty super dressage pone! And she's a really lovely lass too. let me know if you're interested and I will give you contact details
 
I'm in herts but have just found a fantastic trainer for all disiplines on essex borders, she is absolutly fantastic and has improved my results in all phases already from just 1 lesson, can't recommend her enough, her name is Becky Chapman (if you type into google her website comes up!)

Thanks for all your suggestions guys! def have got loads to look into, if I cant find a trainer that my horse and I click with from all these suggestions, than the problem really must lie with us..... ;)

Thanks for your suggestion, did try him earlier in the year, but decided he wasnt for me, maybe i'm just too fussy..... ;)
