Decent non-persription flea treatment?

Frontline, as everyone has been saying, is not working anymore on my cats and dogs.

Someone recommended Advocate, but a perscription is needed. Is there a good treatment that doesn't require a 'script?

Raw Diet, Garlic and table salt on the carpets and furniture, leave it for a while and then hoover. There is a plant called Fleabane but not sure how it was used.

Thanks, but is there anything nasty and chemically to kill the little buggers (the fleas, not my furries)

We've never used chemical flea treatments, just garlic then hot wash and hoover everything. Dogs have never had fleas, it's been the cats that have brought them in.

So how much garlic do you guys use? Is it per weight?

Try Neem oil. You get it in a bottle and it solidifies so leave it in some hot water and mix with water. I use a teaspoonful in a pint of water and spray that on the dogs and cats. No insect seems to like the stuff.
I also used it on my vegetable garden last year and had no Cabbage Butterflies destroying my future feed. I would watch the butterflies come in to land and change their minds. LOL
